Industry-Specific Training

MATES' Program has been adapted to meet the needs of our four industries, with each industry possessing its own set of challenges, culture and work environments.

The things we have in common lies at the centre of MATES: blue collar workers, who work hard, and sometimes things get tough. That's where having a mate nearby, trained to connect a mate to support, can be the difference. These links will direct you to your industry's site.

Construction Training Events

Our training in the construction industry is delivered directly on-site, ensuring workers receive practical mental health and suicide prevention tools during work hours. We empower workers to support their mates and create a culture where it’s OK to speak up

Energy Training Events

Our training is designed to suit the energy industry, equipping workers with the skills to recognise when a mate is struggling. We deliver engaging, relevant content that promotes help-seeking and mental wellness on site.

Manufacturing Training Events

In manufacturing settings, MATES training is tailored to fast-paced, structured environments, helping teams build trust and open communication. We work alongside employers to support mentally safer, more connected workplaces.

Mining Training Events

MATES in Mining training addresses the unique challenges of remote and shift-based work by building peer support networks across sites. Our programs foster a strong sense of connection and help workers look out for one another.
